Health Guarantee & Purchase Agreement
Questang Golden Retrievers
Your new Questan Golden Retriever puppy comes with a 2-year health guarantee, is vet checked, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has been regularly de-wormed. Our Golden Retriever puppies are guaranteed to be in good health, free from any signs of infection, and free of contagious or communicable diseases at the time they leave for their new homes.
Each puppy is guaranteed to be free from life-threatening congenital defects for two years from their date of birth. If your puppy should pass away within that time period due to a genetic defect inherited from its parents, we will replace your puppy under the following conditions:
1. Veterinary Examination
The buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within five (5) days of delivery. The seller must be informed immediately of the examination results via email or phone.
Failure to do so will void this health guarantee.
2. Preventive Care
The buyer must provide the puppy with routine preventive care, including but not limited to:
- Annual physical examinations by a licensed veterinarian
- Following veterinary guidelines for vaccinations, parasite control, and de-worming
3. Congenital and Genetic Guarantee
This puppy is guaranteed until two years of age against fatal or life-altering congenital diseases that significantly affect the puppy’s quality of life.
If the puppy dies within this two-year period, the buyer must pay for a necropsy (autopsy) to determine the cause of death.
If the death is determined to be due to a congenital defect, the seller will provide a replacement puppy of equal value.
4. Hip Dysplasia
This guarantee does not cover hip dysplasia, as all puppies are vet-checked and cleared before leaving. Hip issues often arise due to environmental factors such as injury, over-exercise, or improper nutrition, which are beyond our control.
5. Replacement Policy
All claims covered by this guarantee will be honored by replacement only.
Refunds are not provided.
6. Medical Expenses
The seller will not be responsible for any veterinary or medical expenses incurred after the puppy leaves our care.
The buyer understands that owning a puppy involves regular veterinary care and assumes full financial responsibility for such costs.
7. Common Puppy Illnesses
This guarantee does not cover Coccidia or Kennel Cough, which can occasionally occur in puppies due to stress from travel. These conditions are typically mild, self-limiting, and not life-threatening. Full recovery is expected with basic care.
8. Conditions for Replacement
A puppy showing a serious genetic or congenital defect will be replaced as follows:
- The defect must be diagnosed before the puppy reaches two years of age.
- The seller must be notified within three (3) business days of the diagnosis.
- Two independent, licensed veterinarians (not associated with one another) must confirm the condition in writing.
- The seller will provide a replacement puppy of comparable value.
- The affected puppy must be returned or humanely euthanized (with prior written consent from the seller) to qualify for replacement.
- No refunds, full or partial, will be issued.
9. Pet Quality Agreement
Our Questang Golden Retriever puppies are sold as Pet Quality companions.
We do not guarantee breeding ability, show potential, or adult size.
10. Return Policy
If a puppy is returned, it must be in good condition (except for the stated issue) and returned at the buyer’s expense.
The buyer will then qualify for a replacement puppy.
11. Replacement Puppy Terms
A replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality.
It may not be from the same parents as the original puppy.
12. Non-Transferable Guarantee
This guarantee applies only to the original buyer and is not transferable to any secondary owner.
13. Environmental and External Factors
Certain conditions that may develop due to environmental factors—such as allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, entropion, or other autoimmune disorders—are not covered by this guarantee.
14. Neglect and Care
Neglect, abuse, or improper care by the owner will void this guarantee.
The buyer must provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing home environment.
15. Vaccinations and Exams
The buyer must keep the dog up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and regular veterinary exams.
16. Rehoming Policy
The buyer agrees never to abandon or surrender the puppy to an animal shelter, rescue group, or similar facility without first contacting Questang Golden Retrievers.
If the buyer can no longer care for the puppy, we will gladly assist in rehoming or take the puppy back.
Health records, vaccination history, and a Puppy Care Pack will be provided upon delivery.
17. Contract Validity
This contract becomes null and void if any terms or conditions are not met.
18. Jurisdiction
The buyer acknowledges full understanding of this contract.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State in which Questang Golden Retrievers operates.
